Whenever I go to a pet store I always walk past the long aisles of aquariums, and I may stop for a moment and look at some shiny little fella that catches my eye. Usually I'm fascinated by the vibrant tropical fish, dazzling me with their spectrum of color. But for the life of me, I can never remember the names of these amazing little creatures, and more the shame because they're blessed with such interesting names.

When someone talks to you about barbs, they're usually talking about a witty joke, or a woman, or possibly even thinking about upgrading the security of their fencing. And when someone starts chatting about tinfoil, you might be inclined to think they're discussing the freshness of foods, but really, they're talking about the tinfoil barb, another curious aquatic creature that is suitable choice for beginning aquaculturists.

You might think that choosing a pet name is an easy task. After all, there are thousands of names to choose from. But when you think about the new animal that you've brought into your home, you're thinking that perhaps choosing a suitable name isn't going to be as simple as you thought. Why? Because the name you choose is going to represent your new friend for the rest of his/her life, and isn't that worth taking some time to think over?
